The sunglasses are inspired by those worn by the protagonist in the classic 1970s film "TAXI DRIVER." The design team boldly incorporated the shape of roof tiles from an early Showa-era building they happened to see into the temples and hinges. The temples and acetate ear tips are based on historical American-made eyeglasses from the 1960s. The sunglasses feature original 4-base glass lenses developed in collaboration with the manufacturer, including the color blending.
