Our Prescription Update Vision Test includes key assessments like Visual Acuity, Auto-Refraction, Color Deficiency, Contrast Sensitivity, Amsler Grid, Eye Pressure, and a Central Retinal Scan - which is sent and reviewed with detailed notes by a licensed California doctor asynchronously, with prescriptions typically signed off within 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Unlike a routine eye exam, this test focuses on updating your prescription and does not cover a full evaluation of your eye health. For all eye health related concerns, we recommend seeing an optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Walk-in's are welcomed - Bookings are recommended.

Yes, we can absolutely put new prescription lenses into your old frames! At MEGANE, we offer 3 tier Lens options from affordable to elite-quality to suit your needs, for Single Vision or Progressive Lens Designs.

1. Standard Lens Package: These lenses are durable and affordable, featuring scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings. They are perfect if you’re rough with your glasses or wear them occasionally and want reliable quality without compromising on protection.

All of our frames are non-prescription until we customize them with a prescription for your specific visual needs.

This approach allows you to choose from a wide variety of frame styles and shapes to perfectly match your preferences. For reading glasses, we also offer affordable lens options that can be fitted into your favorite frames, giving you style and comfort without compromise.

We also offer SAME-DAY lens service for certain in-stock single vision lenses, which can be ready in 20 minutes!

Dedicated parking is available on-site, with a lot located to the east of Paseo 17. To access the parking lot, turn onto Westminster Ave and then turn left into the second driveway. This free parking option provides convenient access to Paseo 17.

Limited 10-minute parking, disability parking and street parking is also available. Additionally, Paseo 17 offers complimentary valet parking services at the rear of the parking lot daily from 10 am – 2:30 pm.

If you have vision insurance with providers like United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, VSP, EYEMED, etc, we can guide you through the reimbursement process.

Having your insurance details ready when you visit will make it smoother for us to provide you with the necessary paperwork and instructions to submit your claim - same day. This way, you can still enjoy our high-quality eyewear and services while making the most of your insurance coverage!

No, we don’t have a doctor on-site at MEGANE. We have two experienced opticians who specialize in helping you find the right frames and lenses. For prescription renewals & minor adjustments, we are linked with a California-licensed doctor who can assist with that.

However, if you’re experiencing sudden vision problems or have concerns about your eye health, we recommend seeing an optometrist for a comprehensive examination, which is recommended every 2 years. For more complex conditions or surgeries, an ophthalmologist—a specialist in eye health—would be recommended to you usually by your optometrist.
